About us
We are Marius and Mihaela, two people from Bucovina with a deep love for authentic food and the traditions of the place where we come from. Our story began in Valeputna, where we worked together in an environment that celebrates culinary excellence. Marius, an engineer in the food industry, built his expertise working for two of the most acclaimed local producers, Fabrica Veche and Valeputna, and his passion for quality food became a personal mission. Mihaela, economist and great lover of healthy food, brought an extra soul and sensitivity by coordinating a food hub project in Romania, promoting authentic and traditional tastes.
After our travels brought us to England, we missed the tastes of home. Thus, we decided to combine our professional experiences and give birth to the Merindeli project, a platform designed to bring the essence of Bucovina closer to those who, like us, live far from home. Merindeli is more than an online store, it is the result of a shared passion for tasty food, a celebration of Bucovina traditions and an opportunity to share with others the joy of rediscovering the tastes of childhood, wherever they are.
What do our symbols represent?
From farm to table
it consists in bringing fresh dishes, produced locally, directly from the producer (farmer) to your table. This approach ensures the freshest food, supports the local community and promotes sustainable practices.
Mountain Product
is a mention of superior quality, recognized at the level of the European Union, which certifies the fact that the product (and the origin of the raw material) is obtained from an area with a low degree of pollution.
Made in Bucovina
attests to the fact that they come from the northern part of Romania, the Bucovina area, a land where time seems to have stood still and where hospitality is in the place of honor.
Small Artisan
"the hands that work the earth are the ones that feed the world" and so are the artisans we collaborate with.
They use traditional methods (mostly by hand) and local ingredients and focus on quality and authenticity.

is a high-quality product, selected to offer a superior culinary experience, being appreciated for its premium ingredients, special methods of preparation and presentation, as well as for its unique and refined taste.
